Without giving too much away, we have everything from a gruesome discovery that shocked the world to reports of otherworldly encounters in a galaxy far, far away...
Starting at the famous Moffat Ram, an iconic public statue celebrating the town’s rural heritage, this storytelling tour meanders along Moffat’s wide, impressive main street, where we will pass fine shops, characterful hotels and even an historic apothecary, before tapering off the beaten track into a network of evocative closes. Gathered together, we will face the past, as we unravel layers of gripping accounts – grim deeds, heroic acts and tales of the unexpected await…
Plus there'll be accounts of strange experiences in an historic house to dark episodes from the infamous Killing Times. Moffat has much to offer history lovers and those who enjoy exploring a life less ordinary.
The Mostly Ghostly team can’t wait to get out on those atmospheric streets and transport guests back to eventful episodes in Moffat’s colourful past.
This is Mostly Ghostly...
Mostly Ghostly is an award-winning team of tour creators and guides with a passion for history, storytelling and the supernatural. Its flagship walking tour - the Dumfries Ghost Walk - was launched in 2010, and its unique range now includes tours of everything from castles and churchyards to Scotland's oldest working theatre. In 2019, the team founded the Festival of Folklore, a new Scottish event set in the mythical landscapes of Upper Nithsdale, Dumfries and Galloway. The team love exploring the darker, more unusual side of our region's past, and feel passionate about promoting Dumfries and Galloway as a destination of discovery.
